What are the delivery times and costs?

Although all orders are shipped within 24 hours, it can take up to 48 hours in some cases. We then offer different delivery methods: Delivery to a collection point takes between 2 and 5 working days from the time of dispatch. Standard delivery takes between 2 and 3 business days from the time of dispatch. Express delivery takes between 24 and 48 hours from the time of dispatch. Pallet delivery takes between 4 and 5 working days from the time of dispatch. Delivery costs depend on the delivery address, the number of bottles and the delivery option (mondial relay, express, standard, 24h, on pallet, etc.) and the price is calculated at the time of validation of the basket. Standard delivery is free in France for orders over €125 and in other countries for orders over €300.

Description of the wine

The 2017 vintage was voted Best Red Wine in the World with 97 points at the International Wine Challenge 2019
Recognized by many critics around the world, Gérard Bertrand reveals Château l'Hospitalet Grand Vin rouge as one of the spearheads of French viticulture.
Since the 2017 vintage , the estate has been AB ( organic wine ) and DEMETER (biodynamic agriculture) certified.
As part of a presidential trip to China in November 2019, Château l'Hospitalet was chosen to represent the excellence of French wines alongside Cheval Blanc and Corton Charlemagne.

Food and wine pairings offered by our chef

Serve at 16°C with rack of lamb, game birds or mature cheeses. This wine fleshy, harmonious, with an elegant structure, can be drunk now and portends a most promising future

Vinification and aging

The harvest is manual and each grape variety is vinified separately. Part of the Syrah is vinified in whole bunches. The maceration time is around 20 to 25 days. At the end of winter, 100% of the wine is transferred to new 225-litre barrels (French oak) for a period of 12 to 16 months in the magnificent Hospitalet cellar (2,000 barrels). The best barrels of each grape variety are selected and assembled to produce this vintage.

Tasting note

The dress is bright ruby. The nose, intense, is dominated by aromas of spices and fruits red (strawberry). The mouth presents tannins silky and fine, highlighting the fruity freshness of this wine.
